About the church

SHBC is a small, friendly Baptist church located on the main road that runs through South Harrow.  Our congregation spans all ages and a wide variety of nationalities, united in a love for Jesus and a desire to see others come to know and love Him too.  In addition to meeting regularly for worship, prayer and fellowship, we are actively involved in our local community, run a weekly community coffee morning, and host the local Food Bank once a week.

We have been here since 1926 and are affiliated to both the Baptist Union of Great Britain and London Baptists.  We join with other churches in the area for special events and also host a Nepalese Christian Fellowship and a Tamil congregation, reflecting something of the diversity of the area we serve.

Our leadership team includes the Minister, Revd Brian Bishop, and several deacons, each of which takes the lead on a particular aspect of church life.
